A 2m/70cm (146MHz and 440MHz) J-pole Antenna
My electronics doesn’t normally involve a hacksaw, hammer and propane torch but I had fun building this J-pole antenna from instructions by N6JSX.

Cut them down according to the required lengths, smooth edges and check you have all the parts.

Solder it together.

The entire process should only take half an hour (that, of course, is if you didn’t solder the wrong parts together and have to desolder and resolder like I did).

Not bad at 440MHz either, the markers were at (430-450MHz)
